An interactive smart board is a medium-to-long term investment for schools and companies. With simple daily maintenance, ELON interactive panels can keep stable performance for 6–8 years. Many failures come from improper cleaning and operation habits. Below are practical maintenance tips for all users.
For screen cleaning: Always turn off the power and wait for the screen to cool down first. Use soft microfiber cloth with mild glass cleaner. Do not spray liquid directly onto the screen surface; spray liquid on the cloth first. Avoid rough paper towels that scratch the anti-glare coating on ELON tempered glass.
Pay attention to touch frame protection. Do not use sharp pens, rulers or hard objects to knock the touch frame. Although our panels have sturdy frames, violent impact may damage infrared touch sensors and cause touch failure. Fingers and special soft styluses are the recommended writing tools.
Ventilation cannot be ignored. Leave enough space around the smart board heat dissipation holes. If you use an OPS computer module, regularly check whether the ventilation slot accumulates dust. Overheating is the top reason causing automatic shutdown and screen flickering.
Power usage suggestion: Do not keep the smart board powered on 24 hours nonstop. If no one uses the equipment during holidays, cut off the power supply. Long-time standby accelerates internal component aging.
If you use a mobile rolling stand, regularly check wheel locks and screw tightness. Push the panel gently; avoid fierce collision when moving.
If you encounter touch delay, casting failure or system error, you can contact ELON technical support. Our engineers provide remote guidance to solve common operation problems efficiently. Good daily maintenance helps you avoid expensive repair costs.
